On 7th August, Our club got the opportunity to host the First Intercity of the Rotary year 2022-23 on Membership Development. Superb numbers of online registrations were done. Marvellous arrangements were done for offline registrations and kit distribution. Customized gifts were distributed for early online registrations. On the occasion of Friendship day, friendship bands were arranged and it was tied to all the members who attended. It gave a feeling of friendship and a very good start to the event. In total around 170 ++ Registrations from other Rotary Clubs and around 60 members from our club joined the event.
The Chief Guest of the Intercity was PRID Rtn. Ashok Mahajan, Past Trustee TRF, RI District 3141 and Guest of Honor was PDG Gurjeet Sekhon. District Governor Jinendra Jain ji, DGE Ritu Grover ji, DGN Anish Malik Ji, many respected PDGs and friends from other Rotary clubs of the District, Presidents, Secretaries and members from various other Rotary clubs and especially new members of various clubs graced their presence on this occasion and made the event successful. A spectacular and innovative audio video recording was done for National Anthem that was presented at Intercity. Many Lady Rotarians and Anns of our club presented in the traditional dress of different Indian states representing unity in diversity and rest in tri colours of the Indian flag and made a video presentation of the National anthem and that was played at the beginning of the event. PDG Gurjeet Sekhon was so impressed by it that he mentioned forwarding the same to him so that he can float in his District. Recognition of new members and their honour was done by DG sir; a knowledgeable session on the importance of membership enhancement was conducted, and innovative sessions of Koffee with Guest of Honor PDG Gurjeet Sekhon and Aap ki Adalat. The address of the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor was very inspirational. At the close of the event, friendship day was celebrated, wherein all the members sang based songs about friendship. MOC was fantastic. Though the event started a little late but ended on time Yummilious spread of breakfast and lunch was managed by our club, which was appreciated by all the members who attended the event.
