Jai Mata Di, on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, Rotary club of Indore Professionals came out with unique idea of having online garba competition, so that people don?t miss their most popular event. As in current Covid situation, where no organisation was able to conduct garba, due to Covid protocols. It was brilliant idea and great platform was provided to all the garba shaukeen all over the country. An over whelming response was received from people of all ages, around 100 plus entries registered for the event. It was divided in three categories age 16-30:- solo/ duet garba competition, for 30 plus age:-solo/duet garba and solo sitting dance. It followed a pattern of first videos were send by all the participants and screening were done by our expert judges and top 5 in all categories were picked. These top 5 finalists then had online voting through Halo-Re facebook link. Final judgement was based on their performances and online voting. They received very good number of responses through facebook and everyone were looking for finale. On the occasion of Sharad Purnima, finale was conducted on 30th October on face book and you tube platform, where top three were declared. Finale was attended by DG Gajendra Narang and first lady of the District Rtn Sartika Narang. Chief Guest was Ms. Mitali Shah from Vadodara. Judges were Ms Jinal Pratik Shah from Baroda, Ms Kirti Gupta from Ahmedabad and Ms. Gauri Chavan from Mumbai. Many members of our club graced the occasion, dear participants their friends and family members attended the finale. MOC was beautifully and timely conducted by Rtn Akhilesh Khandelwal and Ann Nidhi Arora. Welcome address was conveyed by President Rtn Gaurav Pareek and Vote of Thanks by Hon. Sec Rtn Priyanki Maheshwari. Immense contribution by Rtn Akhilesh Maheswari and Rtn Rinkesh Shah in overall smooth flow of the event. Kudos to the team work.Out of all performances we received one very special entry from special child who participated so enthusiastically and we honoured this very special performance during finale.
Our members left no corner untouched for its promotion either by means of facebook or whats app or contacting as many people as possible. It finally lead to great branding of rotary and it opened opportunities for all to showcase their talent.
